A Portland Workshop Built Around Craft
Ten years of bespoke cabinetry and architectural millwork for the estates, historic homes, and commercial spaces of the Greater Portland metro.
Cabinetry That Earns Its Place in the House
Portland Custom Cabinets began with a straightforward idea: a kitchen, a vanity, or a library wall should be built for the room it lives in, not modified to fit after the fact. For more than ten years we have built bespoke cabinetry and architectural millwork across the Greater Portland metro, working with homeowners, architects, and commercial clients who care about how something is made.
That means quality plywood boxes, dovetailed drawers, hand-fit joinery, and finishes chosen for the Pacific Northwest climate rather than for a catalogue photograph. It means grinding a custom knife when a historic moulding profile no longer exists. And it means reviewing architectural plans early, because the cheapest fix for an installation conflict is the one you make on paper.
We keep our project list deliberately short. Every job runs through the same hands from first consultation to final scribe, which is the only way we know to hold this standard.
Four Commitments on Every Project
Craft first
Dovetail drawers, quality plywood boxes, hand-fit reveals, and finishes that survive PNW winters. The parts you never see are built the same way as the parts you do.
Honest scope
We quote per project after seeing the space, and we say so when refinishing beats replacement. A smaller honest job is better than an oversold one.
Respect for the house
In historic districts we match what is already there, document it for review, and protect original fabric during install.
No surprises
3D previews, early plan review, and a written scope before fabrication. You should know what install day looks like weeks before it arrives.

Clients We Have Built For
The precision and attention to detail they brought to our Dunthorpe remodel was extraordinary. The rift-oak kitchen isn't just cabinetry; it's a piece of functional fine art.
They matched the historic millwork in our Irvington home so exactly that the preservation reviewer couldn't tell the new work from the original. Flawless craftsmanship.
The 3D preview meant there were zero surprises on install day. Our West Hills kitchen came together exactly as rendered, down to the champagne bronze hardware.
We hired them for casework across our medical office and the result feels custom, durable, and completely on-brand. Turnkey from plan review to install.
